From Dad...

Hopefully he will not mind if I post this email he sent me this morning:

Just to let you know how I’ve been feeling. Saturday I got off the couch about 6 times I was so tired. Sunday was a lot better and today I feel pretty good. For all the good news I didn’t need the shot for my blood since the numbers were high enough, my mouth hardly hurts at all and the oral surgeon says it appears to be healing somewhat. Thought you needed more good news for a change.

As I said before, I will take any good news I can get.

On a sad note, I went to the funeral home last night. As you know I go to Gilda's club and I have met some very nice people there. I met a woman named Viva and her husband died last Wed. (of lung cancer, his was smoking). He was just diagnosed in January. It is a good reminder of how lucky we have been to have time with Dad. So my sympathy is with her and her children.

Have a good day and week everyone.

Good news

I am very sorry I have not posted. Seeing Dad the way he was when we went camping was kind of a shock for me & my children. My daughter was a basketcase after we got back. She is having a hard time. HE looked terrible and was shuffling around like he was 120 years old. He had NO sense of humor at all (That is what got me the most) and he was so tired and his mouth hurt very badly.

We got some good news at the Oncologist yesterday. The tumors in his liver and some lymph nodes have appeared to have decreased in size. I haven't seen the report, when I do I will clarify the difference if I can. He also looked much better and even cracked a smile (or course it was after he tried to suffocate everyone in the room with Methane!) It was good to see him smile. Im sure he will be tired and yucky this weekend from the chemo he got yesterday.

That is all I care to type right now, I just though I would at least share the positive.

Be well and hug your family.

The Campground Shuffle

just so you all know, I am having a difficult time composing my thoughts about our camping weekend. I will post them at some point this weekend.
